Green Mountain Falls, CO
The renovation of the growing church in Green Mountain Falls, Colorado, has brought new life to the early 2000s structure. The building features two entrances, one on the north and one on the south, each accessing different levels. The primary goal of the project was to modernize the entries, common areas, and circulation spaces, creating a seamless flow between levels.
A significant transformation involved the removal of the existing stairs and the construction of a 10-foot wide monumental staircase. This new staircase, adorned with glass railings and wood trim, adds a contemporary touch to the space. The main sitting area now boasts a fireplace, providing a warm and inviting environment throughout the year. Faux wood beams were designed and installed to emphasize the mountain landscape surrounding the building, enhancing its rustic charm.
The renovation also included updates to the religious education classrooms, allowing for better age grouping and distribution of students on Sundays. Restrooms and hallways were upgraded to provide ADA accessibility and modern finishes, ensuring comfort and convenience for all visitors. These improvements reflect a commitment to creating a welcoming and functional space for the church community.
